Filling in a Hospital Admission Form with QuickForm

Patients continue to complete Hospital Admission forms but using a digital pen with Anoto functionality. The forms they use are printed with a special dot pattern that enables the infrared camera in the pen to pick up what is being written. The pens can then be docked in a USB port, and the information is transferred to QuickServer which automatically checks admission data integrity.

The hospital admission form is time stamped, providing proper confirmation of when the information was recorded. The system has an automatic backup as the digital pen and paper create a virtual double of records and forms.

When a unique Anoto template is transferred to paper, the anoto micro dots make the the page unique too. As each digital pen is unique as well and all data is time stamped, what is written on the paper with a digital pen is automatically linked and “traced back” digitally to the original template. Signatures are captured as is.
